Tame Event App

Tame Event App
A modern event companion app that keeps attendees informed, organised, and ready to take part—before and during the event.

Best for
Event organisers and teams who need a reliable app for conferences, summits, and multi-day events.

What the app enables

  • View event news and updates
  • Browse the full programme and session details
  • Access venue and practical information
  • Keep ticket details ready for scanning
  • Find key info quickly through a simple menu

What was blocking the launch
The founder had attempted two submissions to Apple. Both rejected. They came to us mid-frustration, unsure which rules they’d broken.

What we found and fixed:

  • No test login in the review notes — Apple’s reviewer hit the login screen and couldn’t get in. Rejection #1. We set up a dedicated demo account with pre-populated data so the reviewer could see every screen.
  • API keys hardcoded in the source — the AI had written Stripe and OpenAI keys directly into the code. Anyone who downloaded the app could read them in a minute. Moved all secrets server-side.
  • Missing delete-account button — the AI-generated auth flow had signup and login but no way to delete. Both stores require it; AI login screens almost never include it. We built and wired it.
  • Notification permissions asked without explanation — the app requested push notifications with no plain-language reason. Apple rejects generic prompts. We wrote the permission string and timed it to appear after the user’s first booking, not on launch.
  • No Apple Developer account — the founder hadn’t enrolled yet. We set up a company-type account under their legal entity, handled the D-U-N-S verification, and configured certificates and provisioning profiles in their name.

What we delivered beyond the fix:

  • Automated deployment pipeline — next time they push an update, it builds and uploads to TestFlight without touching Xcode manually.
  • Full handover walkthrough: 20-minute session where we deployed a dummy change together so they could see the process end to end.

Actio — Live Expert Advice

Actio — Live Expert Advice
A live coaching platform that connects users with experts through live classes and 1-to-1 sessions.

Best for
Teams building a coaching, education, or expert marketplace app who need a complete build—not just screens.

What the app enables

  • Browse experts and topics
  • Join live sessions with reminders
  • Book 1-to-1 consultations
  • Manage profiles, schedules, and session access

What was blocking the launch
Never submitted. The founder had been stuck for three weeks trying to get the app to run on a real phone. Couldn’t produce a build file.

What we found and fixed:

  • No installable file — the founder had a folder of code, not an .ipa or .aab. The AI wrote the project; it couldn’t compile it for a real device. We configured the build chain for both platforms.
  • Localhost URL in the API config — the app called http://localhost:3000 for every backend request. Worked on the laptop, failed silently on a phone. Replaced with the production URL and set up environment separation so dev/staging/prod never cross.
  • Store guideline violations on permissions — the app requested camera access (for the barcode scanner) and location (not used at all). Apple and Google both reject unnecessary permission requests. Removed the location request entirely, wrote a clear purpose string for camera.
  • Blank screen on offline — turning off wifi produced a white screen. The app was making a network call on launch with no fallback. Added an offline state with a clear message.
  • Notifications not working on device — push notifications worked in the simulator but never fired on a real phone. The push certificate and Firebase config were both pointed at the test environment. Fixed both and verified delivery on two physical devices, including an older model.

What we delivered beyond the fix:

  • Company-type Google Play account set up under their business, bypassing the 14-day closed testing requirement entirely.
  • CI/CD pipeline for both platforms — one merge to main triggers a build for TestFlight and Google Play internal testing.
  • Handover doc covering every service, every credential location, and monthly cost.
